Featured Blog Pr Wire Blogger Woof Woof Mama

Posted by BlogPrWire Categories: Blog, Featured Bloggers

This week’s featured Blog Wire Member is Liz of Woof Woof Mamma. While Liz’s blog is a review/giveaway blog, Woof Woof Mama stands out with a focus on a specific topic – those cute cuddly creatures we all love – pets.blog wire

Why did you start your blog?
I launched my blog after we adopted our rescue pup, Daisy. I was already an avid couponer and deal-hunter and started finding all the best ways to save money on pet food, toys and treats. I posted deals to my neighborhood Facebook Group where we all share advice and coupons, and arrange play dates for our dogs and everyone liked my deal posts so much that they encouraged me to start my own blog! I’m just like every other mommy blogger, except my kid just happens to have fur!

What blog platform do you use?
Wordpress

What is your favourite plugin or gadget and what does it do?
I’m using so many handy widgets for WordPress but my most recent favorite is probably Pinterest RSS Widget. It automatically updates my blog with thumbnail images of whatever I’m pinning on Pinterest and also has a “Follow Me on Pinterest” button. Pinterest is my latest obsession.

Featured Blogger Your Golden Ticket

Posted by BlogPrWire Categories: Blog, Featured Bloggers

There are allot of review and giveaway blogs out there but every now and then one stands out to us. The Golden Ticket stood out to us for a few reasons, one of which was that it has more then one contributor. So today’s featured blogger is sort of actually THREE featured bloggers; Samantha, Julie, and Amber of Your Golden Ticket. However our interview was with the blog’s founder Samantha. Here’s what she shared with us;

Why did you start your blog?
“I wanted a blog to give other informed shoppers a place to find information on products and services that are worth their time and money. Honest reviews. Pure and simple.
The second reason for this blog is to pay it forward and help others in their business ventures. I am lucky enough to know many creative individuals that have talents I do not possess with crafting and producing fun unique products. This blog is my tool to promote those I admire and find even more talented people to spread the word about. ”

Jenna of Jenna’s Journey

Posted by BlogPrWire Categories: Featured Bloggers

Jenna’s JourneyYou know the feeling you get when you find a blogger that just impresses you? That’s how we felt about Jenna after visiting her blog. She’s real. Creatively challenged (she blogs because she can’t scrapbook), has migraines, and bad hair days. Yet despite all those things, she has a wonderful optimistic and peaceful outlook that comes through in her blogging. Today we are featuring and interviewing  Jenna of Jenna’s Journey here on Blog Pr Wire.

Why did you start your blog?

Originally, I started my blog to chronicle our infertility journey. At that point we’d been through 2 years of IF, and we were told we would have to do IVF if we ever wanted to have kids. The next month, I ended up pregnant – on our own, with no assistance! So, it ended up chronicling our pregnancy and my sons stay in the NICU.

What Blog Platform do you use?  Blogger

What is your favourite Blogger gadget? I love the Popular Posts option that Blogger offers. I enjoy seeing what people are loving reading!

Share a tip on how you promote your blog:)

I’m not big on self promotion. In fact, I really don’t do it. People find my blog via Pinterest, Twitter, and even forums. I’ve seen a lot of traffic come from places like Baby Center. I used to be a great commenter, but with a 1 and 2 year old, I’ve slacked off. I think, in general, a lot of times bloggers find each other via comments.

Tell us a bit more about your blog and your upcoming goals for your blog;

My blog has grown so much in the past few months. I’ve branched out content wise – posting more things that I think people really find useful. I’m sharing How-To’s and recipes and doing giveaways. My blog is still centered around my family and I’ll never post anything that isn’t meaningful to me first. Sometimes in BlogLand, it can become a hoarding of information instead of a sharing platform. I’m a sharer – I love helping other people learn how to do things, and my blog is my platform to do that.

Now, not only am I a Mommy Blogger, but I’m a Food Blogger too! I love sharing my recipes and giving other families fast, easy, healthy meal ideas.

Tell us a bit more about your blog and your goals for the year:
My goals for 2011 are to post more often and to keep it as honest as I have been. I share success and failure on the health front and hope my stories can help others feel less alone.

Sherrie Thompson is a married wahm of 2, 42, insomniac, vegetarian, home biz owner, soapmaker, anime-lover. She’s been telecommuting since 2000 and as tempted as she is at times, she doesn’t see ever going back to work outside of home…unless the dream job calls.

It’s never too early or late to get started on a new life of healthy living, which is why we’re pleased to spotlight Let’s Move it Mommas, a website sure to help you and your family live a smarter life. Share a tip you use to promote your blog that you feel may benefit other bloggers :

I am actively involved in many communities, whether they are PR related or health related, plus I use social networking to spread the word about what I have featured on my blog each day.

Tell us a bit more about your blog and your goals for the year:

My goal has always been and will be to reach as many people as possible with my message.  To help children and their families maintain a healthy lifestyle.  These days people get so “busy”, we forget that exercise and nutrition will help fuel our quality of life for the rest of our lives.  Our children learn these habits at a very young age, so the more we do as parents to increase their health, the more they will take these changes and apply them to their lives and the lives of others.

Marissa has a degree in Heath Education and Exercise Physiology from Sam Houston State University. She designed exercise plans for heart patients in cardiac rehabilitation for two years before pursuing her current career, teaching Physical and Health Education to children, from kindergarten to eighth grade. Additionally, she is an active community member, enjoying promoting health and wellness as often as possible

Eight new bloggers on the Blog Pr Wire

Posted by BlogPrWire Categories: Featured Bloggers

I thought since everyone is so happy around here today that we would share the happiness and let everyone know we have eight new subscribers to the Blog Pr Wire ! Better yet I thought I would share their blogs with you.

Happiness Delivered is a Parenthood blog written by Melanie. I enjoyed my visit until I saw the photo of her beautiful family in front of an Orca – I have seem to have developed an adult fear of Orca’s which isn’t so good since they are often in our local harbour !

Her blog is full of all kinds of great things and her children adorable…  we even took the time to vote for her on Top Mommy Blogs during our visit to her blog.

My selection criteria while deciding which blog to share of our new subscribers was – well entirely superficial. Melanie has same last name as my future husband – but don’t scream nepotism because really I have no idea who Melanie is!

Other new members are:

The Savvy Suburbanite

BlogPRWire Featured Blogger Busy Bee Lifestyle

Posted by BlogPrWire Categories: Blog, Featured Bloggers

BlogPrWire’s featured blogger this week is:  Susan of Busy Bee Lifestyle

Susan’s blog was created to share fabulous ideas that would make it easy for busy women to add special touches to family life! The blog covers topics like entertaining, cooking, gift guides, trends, parties for children, fashion, books and much more.

You can tell she loves her blog – the attention to design and navigation makes visiting a pleasure (which wasn’t so great for us at BlogPrWire as I spent much too long browsing and browsing).

The Busy Bee Lifestyle blog is managed on a hosted WordPress platform. When asked what WordPress plugin tops their list, Susan shared that the Quick page post redirect plug in for WordPress is a must have for every WordPress hosted blog.

What are the goals you have for the Busy Bee Lifestyle blog this year?

“One of the most optimistic goals that I have for Busy Bee is to be featured on a national television or cable show! On a more reasonable note, I am continuing to seek FaceBook fans, Twitter followers and subscribers to our newsletter. “

Can you share a blogging tip with other bloggers reading the Blog Pr Wire blog?

” The best thing that I have done is to develop a terrific relationship with the NBC Philadelphia television studio where I have been filming live segments for The 10 Show for the past two years. It’s been great exposure for the site and our blog readers really seem to enjoy the filmed segments that we post online.

Also, one of the most popular features of Busy Bee is our “Tip of the Week” which is mailed to our subscribers on a bi-monthly basis. The tips vary widely in subject matter, but are always informative and fun! Here are links to two of my favorite, recent tips:

Featured Blogger- Naptime is My Time

Posted by BlogPrWire Categories: Featured Bloggers, Uncategorized

BlogPrWire’s featured blogger this week is: Emily of Naptime is My Time.

Emily established her blog in late November 2010, but did not commit to writing regularly until February 2011. She’s new to the blogging community, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at the great custom theme and graphics on her blog.

We’d say Emily understands some webmaster fundamentals, her blog is easy to navigate, the template meets Internet advertising standards. Her posts are a mixture of parenting resources and blogging resources. She started blogging as a way to share my thoughts and reflections on what I have learned about being a woman, a wife, and a mother.

What is your blog about?
Nap Time Is My Time is about one mom’s dreams of eco-friendly domestic bliss. I write about parenting, being a mother, a woman, healthy recipes and whatever interests me at that particular moment.

Share a tip you use to promote your blog:
In order to promote your blog, it is important to read other blogs and comment on them too. This will let other bloggers know that you’re “out there.” Also, I do not follow every blog that I visit, or every blogger that visits my blog; I follow those which add value to my life.

More about your blog and your goals for the year:
This year, my biggest goal is to grow my readership through consistent posting on topics directly related to eco-friendly living. You’re likely to see posts about growing an herb garden, favorite e-books and choosing organic dairy products for your family.

Another goal I have is to review, and host giveaways, for eco-friendly products.
Emily bloggerEmily is a former work-at-the-office wife turned stay-at-home mom. She enjoys writing, photography, cooking and many other activities. She loves a good Margarita and {some} reality TV. She and her husband married in 2005 and welcomed their first child in 2009.
